Seeing the Beauty in Nature

Larry was a man who saw the beauty in nature. One of his favorite things to do was to collect hornet or wasp nests and spray paint them gold, as is obvious in this picture of his collection of gold nests.

Larry told me it was a Native American custom to present someone a feather to convey the sentiment "I love you". We obviously have feathers stuck in things all over our house. Here's a sample of our collection:
This picture shows that Larry stuck feathers into an old root that he brought back from Japan as a child. An ammunition shell also holds flowers---anything can be a vase for feathers!
